Slovo \"average\" v angličtině

Zdravím.

Na webu www.photozone.de jsem narazil na následující text týkající se vysvětlení významu hodnocení objektivů (poor, sub-average,average ,good etc.).

Většině jsem rozuměl, až na to „as bad as it gets“. Jaký by byl nejvhodnější překlad, a opravdu anglo-americké země chápou slovo „average“ trochu jinak než my slovo „průměr“?

Tak to je zajímavé. To by tedy znamenalo ,že slovo „average“ oni vnímají spíše jako brak, odpad, nebo něco takového. Je to možné?

Este som sa nestretol s tym, ze by average znamenalo ‚as bad as it gets‘ Aj ked je pravda, ze average ma viac negativny ako pozitivny vyznam. Ked ti niekto povie, ze nieco je average tak to skor vyznie, ze to nieje velmi dobre.
