Which is more important – friends or family?

For some it seems as nonsense to compare family and friends, for others – maybe abandoned children – it is a thoughtful question. In this essay I intend to examine positives and negatives of family and friends.

First of all, when we were children it was our family who taught us to discern between good and wrong, black and white. Furthermore, our family – especially parents – gives us useful advice and always help us to solve confusing situation, when we are hopeless or have any problem. Moreover, they will boundlessly love you no matter what happens.

On the other hand, having the truly fun with parents or elder members of family could be sometimes really hard. For this reason, friends are an important part of us. They share our school life and usually the innermost secrets. However, I know from my own experience that friendship never lasts up to the end of our lives.

To sum up, I believe family is more important than friends, because as I have said, it will be here forever and do anything for you.

Jediné drobnosti, které bych navrhl: It seems (to be/like) nonsense to some people / To some people it seems (to be/like) nonsense to compare…

to compare family to friends (ale and jde taky)

Možná I intend to examine the positives… (ale to je drobnost, navíc netuším proč, jen se mi to tam líbí).

our family that taught (možná jde i who, ale tady mi příjde, že se jedná o rodinu obecně a ne o konkrétní lidi, takže bych dal radši that/which)

to discern between good and wrong- možná bych použil distinguish, nevím, jestli chcete říct “rozlišit dobré od špatného”, ale našel jsem pěkný výraz: separate the sheep from the goats 

možná bych vynechal to the truly a řekl bych jen: On the other hand, having fun with parents…

That's why / Therefore / For that reason friends are an important part of ourselves.

based on my own experience, friendship never lasts forever / lasts till the end of our lives.
