Dobrý den, poradí mi prosím někdo jak by se přeložila věta: Nemohli jsme pokračovat v cestě. (autem) Nikde jsem nemohla najít vhodné spojení,mám pocit že se v angličtině nedá takhle přesně říci. Kontext je že auto přestalo fungovat a tak jsme nemohli pokračovat v cestě.

Neexistuje ještě nějaké jiné spojení pro pokračovat v cestě-třeba se slovesem KEEP/CARRY ON/GO ON? Jinak frázové sloveso “break down” znám,ale chtěla jsem zde místo něj použít něco jiného,proto jsem myslela že by šlo třeba i říct STOP WORKING nebo STOP RUNNING.
