Leap of faith

Good evening,

I wanted to ask about the usage of the idiom “Leap of faith” in my sentence.

I’ve been thinking about all of this a lot and for a long time and telling you this is certainly a big leap of faith for me. I don’t know what it will cause and I'm not sure whether it's right to tell you…

By the leap of faith I mean I'm not sure of the outcome, I'm not sure whether I won't mess something up by saying that and whether it won't cause any troubles or misunderstandings like it's a risk for me in a way 

Is using the phrase “Leap of faith” suitable in my context and will it sound naturally written like that?

Yes, “leap of faith” sounds natural (not naturally), and is a good idiom here. You hope for, you want to believe that there will be a particular outcome, but you can't be sure. You just have to take a leap of faith.

Ten skok důvěry to je doslova, ale takto bych to já nikdy neřekl a slepá důvěra je myslím něco jiného, zkusit věřit, jako neobecnější překlad je asi dobré.
